M-Blocks¶
M-Blocks are the exchangeable Math Block positions inside an mREDAC cluster. They provide the analog computing functions that operate on prepared cluster signals, such as integration, multiplication, division, or other function-specific behavior depending on the installed block type.
Within a cluster, signals are selected, weighted, summed, and prepared before they reach the M-Block input side. The M-Block then performs its installed mathematical operation and returns its outputs to the cluster source-selection side, where they can be reused in the next computation step or routed onward.
Each cluster provides two M-Block positions. The positions are generic: the actual behavior is defined by the installed M-Block variant, not by the position itself. This keeps the cluster architecture flexible and allows different computation elements to be used in the same overall signal-flow structure.
The following pages describe the individual M-Block variants in more detail.
